I discovered my old VHS I used to record all my stuff on when I was a kid! I eddied it when I got the footage onto the computer to make it easier to watch. The stop motion stuff was all really slow because we used my parents big home video camera and shot the frames by pressing the record button really fast :P

I can't say anything specifically about the project right now but as soon as I can I will have a ton to show! Until then, just know that me and a friend of mine are hard at work making something awesome for everyone to behold! I will tune back in as soon as I have something more to show.
Take care everyone and good luck on all of your own work!

The last fourth of July weekend, Retora Games had a "Freedom Jam!" We spent the weekend jamming on a game of our own personal design. Summer Warriors is a game I have been dreaming about for a long time now and one of our programmers, Kendal Cormany is helping to finally bring it to life!
The Jam was all about prof of concept, and for me, feeling out the style. I think I have a good idea of where I want to take the game now and I will be working more and more on this when I get time. And hopefully I will have much nicer screenshots to show then too!

I spent my weekend working on a visualization of one of my favorite songs. Panoramic is a track from the movie "The Book of Eli." It's got such amazing atmosphere and pacing that I had to do something with it.
The video is inspired by a few things other than just the song. I recently watched The Overview Effect and hearing about astronaut's experiences when looking at earth from space really moved me. Edgar Mitchell actually visited my university a while ago and talked about his realization when he went into space.
This was a lot of fun and I wish I could just make stuff like this all the time!

Just made this little video for my day off. It was inspired by a little trip I took into the Mill district in Tempe a week or two ago. This gave me a chance to mess around with a few things I had been wanting to try out in Maya and After Effects like camera shake and chromatic aberration.
Hope you like it!
